Barking, Lunging, Pulling: Turning Stressful Walks Into Successful Ones
Does this sound like your walks?
Your dog spots another dog, a jogger, or a car and suddenly you're hanging on for dear life as they bark, lunge, or pull you down the sidewalk.
Maybe you've started avoiding certain streets. Maybe you walk at 6am or 10pm just to dodge other dogs. Maybe you've stopped enjoying walks altogether, and just dread the moment you clip on the leash.
If that's you, you're not alone. This is one of the most common struggles dog parents bring to me.
The good news? These behaviors aren't a sign of a "bad dog," and they're not something you're stuck with forever. There's a reason behind them, and once you understand it, you can start making real progress.
“Beccy is such a wonderful trainer. She has been great working with our reactive dog. Both us and him feel better having the tools to help him. Couldn’t recommend her enough!”

What You'll Learn
In this free 60-minute live session, you'll learn:
Why dogs actually pull, bark, and lunge:
the real reasons behind the behavior (it's not stubbornness or "dominance")
What's really happening during a reactive moment:
Understanding why your dog might be acting that way
Why enrichment matters:
And how meeting your dog's needs reduces reactive behavior
How to read your dog's body language:
Connection is a core part of the process. You’ll learn just as much from the group as from the content itself.
Simple management tools:
Practical changes you can make on your very next walk
Foundational training skills:
For both you and your dog, to build a calmer, more connected walk
You'll leave with a clearer understanding of why your dog struggles and a real starting point for turning things around.
This Is For You If...
Your dog pulls, barks, or lunges at other dogs, people, or things on walks
You've started avoiding walks, certain routes, or certain times of day
You're not sure if what you're seeing is "just excitement" or true reactivity
You've tried everything and is hasn’t worked, and you're not sure why
You want to understand your dog better, not just suppress the behavior
One of the things I value most is that Beccy meets both the dogs and their owner where they are. She is realistic, supportive, and focused on creating solutions that fit into everyday life. Even when progress feels slow or a problem seems particularly complicated, she helps break it down into manageable steps and celebrates the small wins along the way.

Who I Am
I'm Beccy, a certified dog trainer specializing in reactivity. I help dog parents go from white-knuckling every walk to actually enjoying time outside with their dogs.
I’ve been there too. My own dog, Tigerlily, struggles with reactivity, and I had spent a long time living with the day-to-day reality of it. But once I learned more of what was going on and how to help her, the bad walks turned into small wins. And we started rebuilding the confidence (hers and mine) we needed to have successful walks.
You can do that too!
